Actually, I may be wrong because I'm not 100% if they did this, but seeing that other Xenoblade Music being pulled down by them, I think it is a fair assumption..

So, I have Xenoblade Chronicles X. I've wanted this game for AGES, and it's finally here, in my hands.

Problem is, I've never played the original Xenoblade Chronicles. I can't find it on Wii anywhere, and I don't have a New Nintendo 3DS, so I can't get that version.

Tell me, do I NEED to play part 1 to enjoy part 2? Is it sequential and directly correlated, or is it like Far Cry or Final Fantasy, where each installment can be enjoyed independant of one another.

In the mean time, I still have Fallout to play and my brother will be playing XCX, but when I get my WiiU back, I'd like to think I can dive into this stellar game.

I haven't played either as well, so I've asked a few people and they said that you do not need to play the original because they aren't sequels or anything. More like spiritual sequel or something along those lines

But isn't Shulk in it?  Same world, same characters? I really don't know for certain, but that was the impression I got.
