I've wondered this myself, but I guess it isn't only about translations that influences release dates

It seems like IGN is going to give a good score to Splatoon, you can really say that the reviewer likes it a lot, and they didn´t make a huge deal about voice chat and later content, nop.

IGN is the heavier web of metcritic so their score is quite important due to the weighted system of the global score.
