I'm eventually gonna embark on a Partners only run of the game where the only thing Mario can do is appeal, guard and super guard. This one might actually be impossible, but we'll see!

Yeah this is my first playthrough. I wasn´t planning on doing the pit after later in the game but once I saw that strange sack item I had to do it that item is super useful. Now I feel OP not only because of the fire drive badge but because I leveled up a ton. I will try you idea once I beat the game

Between NSMBU and Tropical Freeze (can't recommend Mario Maker as I'm yet to buy it), I think it should be a no-brainer. NSMBU is just another NSMB game (even if it's "the best", it's nothing special, really), it feels generic and bland as always, while Tropical Freeze is easily one of the best platformers I've ever played.

Well, keep in mind two things: I've never played a NSMB game and I've never been a big DK fan. So it's more of a difficult decision for me :P . But the prices on these aren't bad if I look around, might just get both.

There is also the rerelease of NSMBU + Luigi U to consider, as it will be cheaper to get..

Hard to say though, since I have never really got into the DK series, but Mario is Mario so it can get a bit plain, though still fun. Have you thought about Yoshi Wooly's World?

Yeah, 2D Mario is reliable but kinda samey since World.

I have considered Wooly World. But right now I'm still looking at the backlog until Xenoblade and FAST hit. LSO considering a few indie games, Freedom Planet and Affordable Space Adventures being two of them.

Just played some Triforce Heroes.

Very fun game, but the Bomb dungeon felt difficult, mainly cause that one requires a lot of teamwork.

If only I could play with my friends. :c
