Nuvendil said: I gotta say, Atlus has that Persona/SMT anime art style down to a science. It's an interesting look so I'm not complaining, it's just interesting that they have focused so hard on refining that one visual style. Also, having played the Wii U for a while I gotta say I can now say I like the gamepad in practice and not just in principle. It took a couple days to get used to - not unlike with my 3DS XL - but once I did I find it quite comfortable, even for extended play sessions. And the thing is light, real light. It feels maybe only slightly heavier than a 360 controller. And while the battery life is short (not that I mind; I've used the PS4 as my only console for a while and its battery life ain't exactly insane) Nintendo seems to be the only company this gen that seems to remember that sometimes you need to play with the controller plugged in; the cord is quite long. |
Is Persona exclusive to Sony? There was a 3Ds game but it might be just a spinoff? WiiU should have gotten P5, started playing P4 and i quite like it. I would say it has an easier feel than SMT, not saying SMT is bad, SMT is just way more demanding i think. especially i'm new to the series.
with regard to the gamepad, it is quite light, haven't had a 360 controller, but i thought 360 is heavier than the game pad or maybe i'm thinking about the X1 controller. :D
i agree, there is a longer cord and I've used it several times especially for Splatoon, SMM, etc. anyway congratz on your new console. it is just sad that Wii U is only 32GB. if you are going a bit digital, try to get an external HD soon.

The 3DS Persona game, Persona Q, was just an Etrian Odyssey reskin with Persona characters. It still makes me wonder why they chose the Persona IP and why EO gameplay. The first Persona game Nintendo fans get to play and it's a crossover of two games they never played, with gameplay that doesn't belong to the series. It should have been a Vita game. I would have preffered a Persona 3 PSP port over it, or even Persona 1 or 2.
With that said, the fact Persona Q is a 3DS exclusive means there is a possibility of Persona games coming to Nintendo systems.

Well, I think it was a way to guage interest while having gameplay that appeals to a crowd that is obviously already on 3DS. Which accomplishes two purposes. One, since this is obviously a fan-focused game in that it brings together casts from two Persona games, it lets them know how many dedicated Persona fans own a 3DS without spending the considerably larger amount of money a Persona game presumably takes over EO games. Two, it hopefully gets EO fans who bought it interested in the Persona universe.
On a side note, Persona Q would be an awkward game to play on the Vita. EO is almost 100% dependant on the dual screen setup (Which makes me wonder why there isn't an EO game on Wii U; the series could look amazing with HD graphics and still be inexpensive to make).
I could see a Persona game coming to 3DS, specifically the N3DS.
