Don't be fooled by the art style. The game is aesthetically very good looking but is technically not anywhere close to Wii U levels. Not even in the same category. Meshes are very simple, textures are flat (makes sense for the art style) and of a modest resolution for all but the character models (again, art style works with this), etc. I could see this possibly running on 3DS. Of course some things might be scaled down for normal 3DS and up for N3DS, most notably draw distance.
