Is it just me or is the beginning of the Tephra Cave song from Xenoblade Chronicles extremely reminiscent of a Zelda theme?

I just can't quite put my finger on it. It's probably from one of the Oracle games, definitely a top down one. It plays in an empty room where the floor is covered with water, I think. It's weird having random flashbacks to other games while you play :P

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Holy fuck, what a great plottwist near the end in xenoblade. This might truly be one of the best games ever created. The boss fights after Gadolt have become rather easy for now though. :p

The sacrifices of Egil (a character I hated at first) and Kallian were truly amazing to move the story along. The reveal that the High Entia turn into Telethia once exposed to high amounts of ether was also surprising (although the game did foreshadow this when they introduced Melia as a character). The whole cycle of destruction and rebirth of the worlds reminds me of the Greek philosophy of the Stoics. The battle between the Gods and humanity and the question if humanity can escape/control their fate reminds me of countless of ancient Greek and Roman mythologies. The main difference being that humanity could not escape their destiny no matter how hard they tried (good example being the myths of Oedipus and Medea). In Xenoblade it seems that humanity can alter their fate. This game is so deep!

Agreed.  Japanese developers (which I've watched a video forgot where, they tend to add mythologies, religion or what to their game design and built from it with a twist. Which I agree and happened to Xenoblade's story.  so you completed the main story? and you got the Monado III?

No, I just beat the Telethia attack on Colony 6, taking a break now. Tempting not to look at your spoiler. xD

Now that I think about it in the philosophy of Epicurus there was room for people to escape from their destinies (the atoms move in a certain direction, but sometimes there's an unexplained deviation in the direction of these atoms). The whole destuction and rebirth of the worlds was Stoicism though, mixed them up in my earlier post, but fixed it now!

how do you know about those near-ending story then? i thought you just finished the game, and I'm surprised because you just finished Egil earlier.

I've always been able to predict how games, movies, tv shows, books end. I don't know why, but I'm usually correct in all the assumptions and predictions I make lol. I didn't see that Telethia thing coming though. :p

spoiler thing doesn't want to work anymore for some reason so don't read this if you haven't played the game:

I'm now about to go in the hole in the chest Egil made.

if you think you are underleveled, try to have a break from the game if you find it a little bit hard. or grind some side quests.  I think already missed some. are you planning to have a second playthrough?

I'm probably underleveled but none of the bosses have been hard so far. Yeah I missed a ton probably. :p But I'm not a completionist, so I don't mind.

I don't think I'll do a second playthrough, some games are best played once!

I'd definitely buy and replay this game if they ever announced a full remake of this game though!
