I will look into their suggestions and would probably give it to them.

Your second news post is definetly not news, even by your standards, so points aren't awarded. Even your thread with 100+ posts is a bit iffy, but the point is not to be inflexible, so that is why you will earn those points.

If you want, I could take away that point if you don't feel it's not newsworthy..

I want you to remove all of my points.

There are problems with the points system:

1. People should be passionate enough about Nintendo that they don't need to earn achievements in order to contribute.

2. Awarding points for posts and threads always comes with the drawbacks of spamming and the creation of controversy for the sake of points. As you know, VGC itself has a point system. However, nothing good came out of it. Thankfully, almost everyone ignores it nowadays.

3. It creates work for you that shouldn't exist in the first place. Especially the things that happen outside of this thread are hard to keep track of, and it's already scary to have to read every post in this thread every day.

What you can keep is the points system for participating in tournaments. Playing games together is something valuable and it doesn't come with the drawbacks that are related to posting on VGC.

As for the hall of fame inductions, you shouldn't do that based on point values. Instead you should judge people based on their contributions in this thread and the amount of tournaments they play (their performance in those shouldn't matter, except if they are dishonorable quitters; that would be negative). You could add new people to the hall of fame at the beginning of every month, to make it a regular thing. And yes, the judgment is up to you, that's why you are Captain.

I understand what you are trying to get at, but the point system is working fine at the moment and I don't see the need for it to be restructured.. I have already tinkered around a bit and the necessary changes have been already fixed so I'll leave it be. Same goes with the Defenders list, your idea was a consideration before this thread kicked off, but I have already talked with Cone about this, hence why it did not change.

Thanks for the suggestions though, I'll keep them in mind ;)

Don't forget how Xenoblade Chronicles X sexualizes 13 year old girls by portraying them in swim suits. Plus I hear they have an article already written up for when Zelda U hits and Link is still not a girl, and how that's a crime against gender equality.

And Fatal Frame 5? Fucking forget it; that game is pure patriarchal evil that has the nerve to portray women in an alluring manner.

Starfox? No option to play as a female Fox McCloud, therefore it's misogynist filth.

Yoshi's Woolly World? The arts and crafts world combined with Yoshi's high-pitched voice implies that a woman's place is doing the knitting and housework.

It's all one big conspiracy by those sexist pigs at Nintendo. ;)
