Saw this at GoNintendo:

(quoted from Pokken press release) "On Tuesday, June 13, the show starts right after the Nintendo Spotlight: E3 2017 presentation about 9:30 a.m. PT."

If the presentation really lasts around 30 minutes, this will be Nintendo's shortest E3 presentation - at least from what i can remember.

I don't know about you, but 30 minutes seems short to me.

If that's the case, it'll be around 13 min shorter than E3 2014 and 18 min shorter than E3 2015. And for the most part, both didn't exactly have a lot of NEW games shown (Captain Toad, BoTW, Mario Maker, and Splatoon stood out in the digital event in 2014; Federation Force, Tri Force Heroes, Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival, and the official reveal of Star Fox Zero in 2015). So they'll probably show the highlights of what's coming up for the rest of the year with hints of 2018 and Odyssey will be main attraction.

Looks like Stars is not a thing, but they are taking the B2W2 path this time around :p

Also not for the Switch so I'm hoping for Diamond Pearl Remake to be on the Switch then

Definitely going to pass on Pokken Tournament DX though :/

Are they doing Treehouse?? Because that gets rid of any 5+ minute gameplay vids and makes them 1-2 minute trailers. On top of that they do Directs all year round meaning they don't really have massive announcements saved up for E3 like Sony.

I mean I fully expect it to almost entirely be games that are already announced anyway.

They don't really need more than 30 minutes for like 10ish trailers.

God I'm not sure I can handle the Spotlight being yet another disappointment. =(

An example of what said 30min E3 could look like (not in any particular order)

Arms release trailer
Splatoon 2 trailer
Mario + Rabbids reveal trailer (unless Ubi does it)
Pokken trailer
Fire Emblem Warriors release date trailer + Fire Emblem Switch tease
XBC2 release date trailer
Pokemon Ultra SuMo What's New! Trailer
New Kirby 3DS reveal trailer
Hey Pikmin trailer
Indie compilation trailer
Unannounced Switch title trailer (Smash Bros??)
Super Mario Odyssey trailer

That can all easily fit in to a 30 minute E3 and it's not like that will be the last time we here from them for the year.

'Stars' just meant that they had plans for a new game, but not that a new game would actually be called 'Stars'.

Before X and Y were announced, everybody was talking about Rainbow. Just like Stars, it was much ado about nothing.

Trimming your presentation to a bare minimum will make "Spotlight" more like E3 2013 and not E3 2014, for example. And that's not a good sign, to be honest.

I'm not even going to discuss about quantity, as in regards to quality, by the looks of it, they are preparing Spotlight to be more like E3 2013 than anything else. And that is what i really would "hate" to see.
I loved the E3 2014 presentation to a point where even I, a advocate of live presentations, wouldn't mind so much not having anymore of those.

Of course, this doesn't 100% confirm it, but makes it the most likely scenario... and that sucks.

What is so bad about E3 2013, arguably Nintendo's best E3 in quite some time? Mario Kart 8, 3D World, Pokemon X/Y, Smash 4, Tropical Freeze, Pikmin 3, etc. are most certainly quality games. Well atleast you're no longer saying it'll be a repeat of E3 2015.

Eh, I think the only problem 2013 had was the buffering issues from what I heard. Otherwise, it had Mario 3D World, Xenoblade X, Bayo 2, Pokémon X and Y, DKCTF, ALBW, WWHD, and Smash 4, with a hype Mega Man reveal. I guess you can point out it being somewhat of a drag with Iwata mostly talking like it's a direct with a relatively plain background.
