The bad
- First of all $300 USD / $400 CAD is really expensive.. a PS4 pro is $400 CAD and the slim is $350.. wayy too much for a handheld
- Battery life of 2.5 - 6 hours is awful, with wireless off probably will be about 3-4 hours but that is still pretty bad :/
- Paid Online: Noooooooooo
- Motion Controls: Nintendo really loves motion controls and still want to implement them as much as possible, they really aren't learning and this is really disappointing to see that they are investing even more into this rather than making the price optimal
- Rumble and IR sensor: Nice and all but I don't really care if I can feel 1 or 3 ice cubes in a cup, simple rumble is good enough. I can play Rock Paper Scissors with anyone, don't need a sensor to do that virtually, though the IR sensor could have some useful functionality so I will give it that
- 2 confirmed games at launch (more confirmed now) but 1,2 Switch and Zelda BotW is a really bad lineup.. what has the Wii U devs that were MIA been doing for the past 6 months? D:
- Lack of new games, we got Xenoblade 2 (which is awesome), SMT, FE Warriors, DQ Heroes 1+2, Octopath Traveler.. everything else was basically all but announced before and all of these games aren't launch titles

The so-so
- Fifa, Skyrim: nice to see western 3rd party but these were all shown before and no new western games were announced
- Splatoon 2, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe: Great editions and improvements for both of these games but not launch titles really hurts the Switch
- Minecraft, Rayman, Sonic etc. all good games to have to boost library but personally am not too interested in those

The good
- New games: Yes, I listed this in the bad, but I'm pretty excited for some of these new games. Xenoblade 2 looks amazing and am really excited for DQ Heroes which previously was a PS4 exclusive. Mario Odyssey looks really good as well
- Screencapture: You don't know how long I have been waiting for this on Nintendo systems! The Miiverse screencap was severely limited and a hassle, sometimes not even functional for some games so this is really good news
- Region Free! YES, Nintendo learned something!
- Zelda BotW as launch, definitely really good news and can definitely move consoles

I think I'm missing stuff but this is all I can think of at the moment

Overall pretty bad presentation, but with my expectations really low, I wasn't disappointed

yeah the presentation was pretty shit, I'm looking forward to some of the games though. Still can't stop watching those 2 trailers T_T

You know what I find funny? When the $250 price was being tossed around people freaking LOST their MINDS about it because "oh no, it will be so weak!"

Now here we are, $300 price and rather than adjust their expectations on performance people are losing their minds that OH NO! It's so weak and now it costs $300!

I just find it odd how that's a one-way-street logical progression :P

let's be real, it's not a system seller, it's cool but had 0 sway on my decision on the system, and that's likely the same for most people

That's not the point, it's a lineup filler.  You want your first year to look as good as it can and that would have helped.

So I guess I'll put most of my general thought here:

Not a fan of the price, is not terrible but $250 would have been perfect. Battery life is, well I don't know considering it depends on each game I can't say if it's good or bad, the maximum is 6 hours which is perfect.

New Mario game looks incredible, same with X2 tho I was surprised with the artstyle change, unfortunately the other games they showed weren't detailed enough so I can't comment on those, well there was 1,2 switch and arms but those 2 are irrelevant to me.

Presentation overall was weak, they tried too hard to make it fun and entertaining but it got boring pretty quickly, but I appreciate the effort.

Paid online was a shocking surprise, didn't expect nintendo to do that, and I won't inmmediatly discredit them for that until we see how it works and if it benefits the online service, but damn that one hurts.
