That Contrary ability sure is a pain, but really turns all Serperiors into one trick ponies. If only more Pokemon had that ability.

Exactly so I'm correct then. You're treating it as a serious matter, lecturing and criticising one who can't even hear you, so saying that only serves to make yourself look better and/or make the player look worse a.k.a. ego inflation and downplaying/killing the fun.

One that begins as a normal type but can change to any mono type you so choose and even have another evolution after you pick that type. That would be really neat to see

Hmmm.  What about 3 normal Pokemon each with three branches?  So you still have to decide what you feel will work best but there's still that interesting variety.
