I've noticed this as well. What's weird is that sometimes it feels closer to 60fps but most of the time, it's 30fps. Maybe they'll patch it sometime in the future.
Woooo just got home with th amiibo triple pack, time to play the campaign 4 times over... -_____-
Been playing Splatoon almost all day.
It's getting addicting. @_@
"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."
YES!!!! I finally have it!!!!!!! Cant wait to get home and start splatting!!!!
I also saw lots of amiibos getting restock, like Link, zelda, meta knight, sonic, charizard, and Pikachu
Pocky Lover Boy!
I don't know if it's just me, but I think that Splatoon is easily one of the most appealing games on the Wii U in terms of visuals and sound design. Like, the game's art style just pops and although it's simplistic, it really works and looks great. And the soundtrack is just quirky but catchy and really fits the 90s Jet Set Radio-esque tone.

Yeah, it may not be a technical juggernaut but the punchy use of colour and lighting combined with 60fps is very pleasing to the eye.
Not so good news at my local EB in Melbourne; there were no posters or even one of those "new game" stands for Splatoon. Total stealth release.
Then again, this is the same store that had 3 copies of Captain Toad on launch morning.
The game is beautiful.
Pic from my Miiverse, please understand the resolution :P
Btw, I just realized that Splatoon has abot the same score of the praised CoD: Advance War (78 - 83), and much better score than Battlefield Hardline (71 - 73), so Splatoon is, in the eyes of the press, at the level (and above) the best and most popular online shooters nowadays. Not bad at all, specially when those games are plenty of content, not like splatoon.
