Forums - Nintendo - NX won't be revealed at E3 2015, according to Nintendo

No shit. They said they'd go into more detail in 2016.

As expected.

I think the NX will be planned for 2017 BUT can be shipped earlier if Nintendo deem Wii U not profitable anymore

Why is this news? Didn't they flat out say this like a month ago?

Did they? Well even if they did majority of people on the internet still disagree.

Of course it wont. It'll be just like Wii Us final pitch.

There will be a Nintendo Direct in Q1 2016, likely March, that will be the initial blow out of information on the console(s), overall UI / featureset, tie-in to mobile technology, and "Holiday 2016" launch. Maybe we'll see a tech demo or something more specific like Zelda (think twilight princess launch).

Then a Nintendo Direct for E3 that will detail all final information, dates, price, and of course games for the "launch period" in Holiday 2016 and Q1 2017.

It doesn't make sense to make a Direct for that, it would be as pointless as the latest DIrect NoA did for Xenoblade X.

A better place to start talking about that new concept would be during its investors meeting or, even better, at GDC.

Hopefully Nintendo got a deal done with AMD to get the stuff they are working on now for NX. If NX has the HBM and the next gen CPU that is really power efficient, then it would go hand in hand with what Nintendo likes to do. Plus since it will be super compatible with DX12, there will be no excuses for 3rd parties to ignore them.

If AMD is to be believed and it comes in 2016 that would mean that Nintendo will have the best console for a while. Fans are expecting MS and Sony to keep their consoles running until at least 2018 or 2019. It would give Nintendo a 3 year window to do some damage with superior hardware.

Nintendo Network Xtention anyone?

So let's recap:
Things Nintendo won't talk about at E3: NX, Zelda, Mobile games, QoL.

Things Nintendo will talk about at E3: ? GAMES WE ALREADY KNOW AND MAYBE 1 OR 2 NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS

The interesting part is that this means more Directs or Press conferences to show mobiles games and QoL. Maybe as someone else mentioned in this thread, and I also expect, is an event early next year to show all of these things, including maybe Zelda.

Before you get too excited, remember that it's Nintendo. There is no guarantee that they'll go with a powerful system.
