You really need to play more games then, especially if you think story is where this game shines of all things.

What if he played as many games as you did and he still comes to his conclusion? -__-

He wouldn't.  So long a he plays the right games.  The statement about how much the story shines makes that clear.

If Ni No Kuni received a 9/10 then what would a game that didn't include monster taming but was better in every other way in terms of how it played?  Say, Star Ocean The Second Story?  A 17/10?  If the story of Ni No Kuni shined, then Star Ocean is going to blind the poor fellow so we might not even see a review.

When your opinion of a good storyline is probably Pokemon then yeah, Ni No Kuni's story is Shakespeare.

I liked the game, but I didn't like the English dialogue, first time I really hated a dub XD and I never understood how they're in America but the mom is clearly British and so is Oliver... then again I haven't beaten the game yet so maybe theres a reason for that :P

I kinda quit when I was exploring a place. What happened was there was an area I thought was a secret and I was really far into whatever cave/etc (forget what it was) when I was put into a battle! After the battle Mr. fucking Drippy was blocking my path and so I was permanently stuck! I tried getting out for 20 minutes and then reset and never played again because I was so discouraged T.T

Sure Kupomogli. Everyone who plays the same games as you did will necessarily think exactly like you. Your tastes and measures are the only valid ones. smh

This reminded me why I don't bother with you anymore.

Overall: Ni No Kuni is just amazing. Its gameplay is almost nearly flawless minus the dumb ai. The story is where Ni No Kuni shines though. It is a story that lets you learn of many characters, learn their backstories, actually care for them. Then there is Oliver and Shadar(soulmates)  who are so well done for their stories where you care for them(Shdar's voice is also badass). This a game of the generation when it comes to jrpgs as it does everything right; gameplay, story, character developement(you can clearly see this in Oliver).

Score:

9/10

You really need to play more games then, especially if you think story is where this game shines of all things.

You do know everyone is allowed to like different things... I enjoyed it for what it was, although, I thought the lack of character interactions was the biggest flaw, some might have felt differently in that regard.
