If his social media post wasn't clear enough for you, X-Men star Hugh Jackman recently appeared on the TV program Dr. Oz during which time he confirmed that Wolverine 3 will indeed be his final stab at playing Logan.

“It is my last time,” Jackman told the host. “I kind of have in my head what we’re going to do in this last one. It just feels like this is the perfect way to go out.” Check out the full chat below:

Sounds ok. He can probably play this character in his sleep by now.

I knew this day would come, but it still sucks.

Hopefully Fox uses this opportunity to give his character a rest because no one will accept a new Wolverine soon and develop the other members of the X-Men.

god damn while i'm the biggest fan of Wolverine (he's not my favorite member of the X-Men let alone my favorite Marvel character) Hugh constantly nailed the character with each X-men movie he was in even the bad one's like the last stand and origins wolverine. wish i could say the same for my boy Cyclops ):

Wow, gonna miss that guy. The accuracy of his portrayal is questionable, but you reach a point of familiarity where you don't really care, and you just want to keep seeing him in the role.

Really enjoyed his performance over the year and it's going to be really sad to see him go, I might end up not watching the next X-Men if they use the wrong kind of actor for Wolverine replacement, i was already irked to hell by the Reboot Spiderman actor.

Wish he would put on the costume at least once in the movies.

This sucks, but I feel like it was sort of expected considering how long he's been the character. I just hope they don't try and find a new replacement Wolverine, people are too used to Hugh Jackman by now.
