Looking at shipments report we have so far

PS4 at 22.3M LTD shipped

WiiU at 9.6M LTD shipped

So if X1 is below 12.7M LTD shipped (we expect between 12.7-13.2M) them PS4 have outshipped them.

Now on the sold numbers.

PS4 SHOULD have around 900k on shelves (21.4M sold on VGC is spot on)

WiiU SHOULD have around 300k on shelves (maybe more based on japan numbers... but have VGC overtracking it by 250k... so should be 9.3M sold)

X1 SHOULD have around 600k on shelves (can't be sure of VGC precision, but seems fair). so X1 should hover around 12.1 to 12.6M

which would put PS4 at 21.4M against 21.4M to 21.9M at most...

Can we start celebrating?

In this case nope, as for 1 April, XBO+WU is at 22,650,000 unit shipped versus 22,300,000 PS4. but is very close...

we don't have solid X1 numbers, but it is quite possible that for total shipments they will only pass this quarter.

...wut? PS4 is at 1,400,000 in magazine by end of 2014 (18.5 million sold and 19.9 million shipped), where you see 900,000? PS4 is overtracked, and is confirmed by Sony, 20.2 million VS 20.34 million VGChartz by end of Feb, and is probabily overtracked even in March.

Yep... after discussing on VGC we estimate that Sony reduced 1.4M on shelves for Holidays to 900k-1M and that is one of the reasons for the smaller shipment on last quarter.

X1 we can't be certain how much it is overtracked or overshipped at the moment... but seeing as they didn't shipped 0 or very dismall numbers for this year it's expected that they also reduced units in shelves from Holiday to now. Why would stores demand several extra X1 to keep on shelves if they were overshipped in the previous period?
