Well that means they could have a HUGE E3 where they reveal everything where as MSFT will be saving things for Gamescom. That could also mean MSFT has more stuff than they could fit in at e3 as well, but if im correct Sony has a longer conference than Sony so that shouldnt matter. Also the Paris event is October 27th right? The day that Halo 5 releases. COuld be a strategic strategy to take some of the light away from Halo 5 |
Sony won't have a huge E3, they need content for four conferences. I'm sure it will be good, at least for my tastes, but they will likely be holding more back than MS.
As for Halo 5, that will be getting plenty of attention regardless of what Sony does. I think they will announce a price cut in Paris, for NA & EU, just in time for the busiest periods of the year. Will this take some light away from Halo 5? Na. Hype, reviews, bundle preorders etc will be done by then.

4 conferences????? hmmm E3, paris games week, tgs and PS Experience????
to be fair I am expecting bigger things from TGS and Paris than E3 (given my preferences in games), but since E3 and gamescom are closer in schedule this year I'm guessing they will give us a good taste at E3 of what they'll be bringing to the Gamescom floor, it's not a bad strategy.
The price drop for PS4 in October is almost a given it will make sales for next holidays insane.
Microsoft should really try and bring it for gamescom but I hope they dont skimp out on E3 in order to do it cause it's the perfect place to build hype and a good oportunity to gain more terrain in NA. I'm sure Phil Spencer knows what he's doing better than the previous guys at the helm but not sure he understands EU and Asia's markets
