I have a launch Wii, a dusty room and i have no problems. I makes a shitload of noise when playing Brawl but it works.

Oh yea, it is vertical and always has been.

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million 3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

No problems with my horizontal launch wii , no dust but I smoke + I have a dog. The wii has powered on/off 4 times with brawl.
Uncle & friend A works fine too. Both vertical, Aug. 07/launch, clean/dusty.
Friend B & C had problems with it loading a few times. Vertical/horizontal, both launch, both dusty and 1 smoker (B).

i'll post here again if anyone else i know has problems.
