This was on Dualshockers last year:

http://www.dualshockers.com/2014/04/26/sony-registers-dark-chronicles-trademark-after-years-of-limbo/

Also this may or may not mean anything:

http://www.gamespot.com/forums/system-wars-314159282/level-5-announces-dark-cloud-3-for-playstation-4-29374991/

It's a gamespot forum thread and the source link doesn't go anywhere, but if it's in any way correct then it means the Level 5 PS4 game is very likely a Dark Chronicle game.
By the sounds of things Level 5 weren't happy with the reception of White Knight Chronicle and they aren't involved in Ni No Kuni.

Take it with a pinch of salt, but it all seems to fit nicely together.

Well I'm still pretty sure it's going to be there, from what Shinobi has been saying it seems like Sony really wants this to be big and the stage for a new IP that they really want to be big is E3 or maybe the Playstation Experience. So I'd be very surprised if it wasn't among the 3 SCE announcements at E3 that are supposed to get people to talk ;)

Yeah i hope i was wrong, and hoping to see this games announce on  E3, but maybe SONY has more games that need to be anounce on E3 (other triple A games ), and hoping to see Santa Monic Studio games beside God of War remake.

The new God of War for one is a game that I wouldn't expect before maybe the PS Experience

Yeah, but God of War is too big to be miss on E3 , and Santa Monica studios names is really influential , if SONY want to win by miles on Holiday (NPD)  at least they just need to hype this before holiday , and also SONY has a lot project that involve 3rd party this year, so i bet there is so many games coming on 2016 that need to be announce on E3.

I think  PS Experience will more of gameplay then an early footage , and most of announcement is better to do on E3 rather on PS Experience, Because with E3 they can create hype for new user base and PS Experience for their loyal fan.

I totally agree here, I mean Cory Barlog went back to Sony Santa Monica in August 2013:

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2013/08/09/cory-barlog-returns-to-sony-santa-monica-studio/

I think the new IP Santa Monica were making was being headed up by Stig Asmussen & Barlog was working on the new God of War. The title could be around 2 years in development at this point, with Barlog working externally from Sony until he came back in late 2013.

Personally I think we'll see at least an in-engine trailer for the new God of War.

E3 will likely be Sony's event for their biggest hype building projects and God of War is one of many that have been in the works for over 2 years at this point.

Having a God of War trailer to use as part of a reel of 2016 releases to show off at the end of E3 2015 would do nothing but build huge hype for the holidays. God of War has never taken 4 years to release, in fact it's a regular March release, with Ascension and 3 taking 3 years to come after the previous release, God of War 2 only took 2 years to come after God of War 1.

There's nothing about GOW's development that makes it seem like it's had any troubles and ideas for how the series can move forward have been circling around for a couple of years, that it could either be Norse or Egyptian.

I think a March 2016 release date is a given for the next game, a teaser of some kind, with a 2016 release window is the least we should pin our hopes on at E3, with a huge focus on gameplay at either Gamescom or PSX, where the official release date of March 2016 will be given.

This is just my too pence though.

If the leek is true the new Mas Effect seens to be shapping up to be great.

Cory Barlog already said on twitter that they wont have anything ready for E3 2015.

im guessing a PS experience reveal with a holiday 2016 release date or a march 2017 release. they heavily hinted GoW at the last PS experience and i remember SSM saying they will have a big precense at the next one.

There is no way God of War releases March 2016. No way.

No offense but you're completely letting your obvious love for GOW, cloud your judgement, GOW4 is not a March 16 title, we can at very best and even that is something I'd rather bet against, hope for a holiday 16 release. And I'm going to repost this tweet until people understand it:

You realise that Cory is a bit of a joker right? Also this was October, things can change. Even so a teaser could even be at Gamescom. Like I said in my last post God Of War has never taken more than 3 years between releases, even on the complicated PS3 hardware & it's not like Cory didn't return until just before PSX, he's been busy at SSM since he came back in August 2013.

Saying you don't have anything to show, could also just be like him saying that they have very little to show, as in a tiny portion of the game could be shown. That tweet could just be him playing down on the thing and then they have  something and it's a huge surprise to people like yourself.

This game will no doubt be a March 2016 release, mark my words!

As I said before God of War has never taken longer than 3 years between releases, Barlog came back to SSM in August 2013, I don't recall him being anything to do with the canceled new IP by Stig, which means he's probably been working on God of War 4/reboot since the last one finished production, most likely as a contractor until he returned to Sony in August 2013, which is probably when the game went into full development.

Do you have an example of a major God of War game taking longer than 3 years to come out from the last one?

you are just setting yourself up for disappointment dude. Bend has a game in production for 3.5 years now, GG for over 3.5 years. Quantic Dream for 3 years, Media Molecule for almost 4.5 years, they wont go and announce a game way to early when there are others that are way way ahead in production.
