A website connected to the Half-Life fan remake is currently displaying a mysterious countdown.
Pictured below, the timer on BMRF.us (that's Black Mesa Research Facility), is overlaid on top of a modified Emergency Broadcast System template. It occasionally flashes images of one Half-Life's most elusive characters, the G-Man. Only static can be heard.

The countdown should reach zero on Tuesday, May 5 at 7:47am PT. Accounting for time zones, this lines up with 8:47am in New Mexico, which is the geographic location of Half-Life's Black Mesa Research Facility.
It's also the time you hear when you first step onto the train at the beginning of the game.

Craig Mirfin, a level designer on Black Mesa Source, tweeted "Soo many channels but nothing on?? http://www.blackmesasource.com/ #gamedev," followed by "They're waiting for you gordon in the test chamberrrrrhttp://www.bmrf.us/ ?"
Could this all be a creative prelude to a final Steam release date for Black Mesa Source? We're reaching out to the developers and we'll let you know when we learn more.
