I dont think the lack of apps is because of difficulty to port, its do with size of user base. But it will certainly tip over those few developers that are teetering on the fence.

nice, but the benefits also come with negatives.
that being, shovelware/adware/shitware from three different platforms bundled in to one.
By your powers combined, I am captain appshit!
Will stick with my s6 edge, it cant do ios or wp but i cant really think of a single app that i use and care about on wp/ios that isnt also on android.
Also, im assuming that apps that rely heavilly on the google play / services frameworks wont be so easy to port over as I doubt Microsoft would want to be running that framework on top of their own services.

A feature or app thats worth doing it, there arent any thus far.
Either way, if you have a WP or android phone youre fine, if youve only got an ios device... yeah.. screw ios.

I don't think they can. Google play services isn't open source. Correct me if I am wrong. I am not sure.

well cause they made phones into what they are today, they literally pioneered the touchscreen and smartphone era
before iphone, phones were pathetic for anything other than calling and texting
also the fact that all their product are pretty looking, the best actually and they have the best and smootest operating system, still unbeaten till today.

iPhone 6 has the better display, better camera, is considerably lighter and thinner, and it smashes the 930 when it comes to computing power (double the score at GeekBench). It also has the better OS, at least almost every review says so. But yeah, that point is a little bit subjective. And let's not even talk about the iPhone 6 Plus. That one also humiliates the Lumia 930 when it comes to batter life. As I said, the Lumias are good devices. But they can't compare to High-End Smartphones. Of course, maybe you don't even need or want High-End. But some people do. However, I'm sure we'll see a new flagship from Microsoft soon, even if they more and more concentrate on low-end to gain marketshare. Which isn't a bad business strategy. |
The 1520 is the top lumia and it can compete with high end phones. They do need more phones on the high end though.

Ohboy..
Windows, symbian and blackberry smartphones with touchscreens all existed before iphone
The only reason iPhone is as popular as it is. Is because it became trendy to own one.

yeah, they did but they all sucked heavily if you used touchscreens before iphone, they all sucked.they were so bad, they almost the touchscreen technology everybody said,it will never be mass market, iphone made it what it is today
The only reason iPhone is as popular as it is. Is because it became trendy to own one. are you nuts, don't be a hater and also don't delude youself i myself hated apple and iphone back in the day i was a nokia and sony buff and used to say the same things,it is just trendy and fad and expensive.
it was all wrong,i used iphone 3gs and i was hooked.it was the best and smootest phone i ever used.
also its stupid to say iphone is popular because it became trendy, nothing becomes trendy on its own.its needs to be great to become trendy. iOS was by far the best operating system and still is.Android still can't touch it.Also the seamlessness and build quiality is still unmatchable by any android phone let alone windows phone comeon now,i know its gotten a bit crazy with iphone with its BIG BIG sales and Apple's popularity but don't downplay a product which really deserves praise. |
