Forums - Sony - How does purchases with PS+ work?

Can someone please explain how the PS+ pricing works?  Before I had plus, I'd pay regular prices for items.  Now, there's something I want, that's 10 bucks for regular users, and 8 dollars for PS+.  If I don't have an active PS+ account, wont I lose assess, over 2 dollars?

Or, do I just pay the 8 dollars now, and not worry about it.  I don't wanna buy this for 8 bucks, and risk losing access to it just because I didn't pay that extra 2 bucks, wth?

Anything you buy at a discount with plus is yours to keep forever, only the free stuff requires continued subscription

This. You don't lose access to purchased games that had a discount in price for PS+ members.

You can keep discounted content forever

Discounted games you bought is yours forever.

You lose access to free monthly PS+ games if your subscription runs out, but if you subscribe again you'll regain access to them.

Purchases under PS+ work just like any other purchase you keep them for life (either yours or the PSNs) even if you cancel your subscription. You only lose access to stuff given to you for "free" under PS+.

I've spent over 500 bucks in the last year, thinking I'd lose access if I had plus and paid plus prices, after letting my subscription lapse. All the wasted money I thought i was saving...

Just buy it already! It's Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes right?
