Its called supply issues. Nintendo Wii sold out at most stores and new stock is on its way. Wow, PS3 beat the Wii by 2000 units in Europe/Other, huge win.
Most Wii stock is being sent to the USA for the SSBB launch.

I expect PS3 to be pwned in both Japan and North American regions. Nintendo Wii will double PS3 consoles in those regions. The Nintendo Wii is the cheapest and most popualr console on the market and it appeals to more people.
There is absolutely no reason the PS3 outsold the Wii other than the fact that the Wii was supply constrained. I expect MASSIVE USA sales tomorrow.
