I dunno, even save the earth felt kind of half baked to me. The slower paced combat of kaiju films just doesn'i seem to translate well into video games, where players expect fast responses.
Maybe a Monster Hunter/Souls/Bloodborne like style of weightier combat might work...

 I guess. I still enjoyed them as a kid. What I've seen definitely looks like it worth a shot.

I'll pick Ground Zero's, though I haven't played many 60fps games on PS4. GZ looked very good imo.
