Forums - Sony - Stop B!+(&!#; about GT5P it is a full game.

As for the argument that once GT5 is out GT5P will be useless, yes that is true, but what other sports, games are still usefull after their successor is released? MLB 06 The Show was useless the day 07 came out, and it does not matter iff I skip 07, 08, and 09 once I get the next Show, the last will be useless.

That is flat out wrong. As an example I still sometimes go back and play old football games as they have the players I loved as a kid. The new games do not. The gameplay mechanics are also often slightly changed. Once GT5 comes out it has literally every single thing GT5P has. When MLB07 comes out it does not have everything MLB06 has, players etc are different.

No one will ever play GT5P if they also own GT5, why would they? It is just a small section of the game. However I might still play Fifa 2004 because I have fond memories of the players and that football season.

You are paying for quite literally the same thing twice.

Turkish says and I'm allowed to quote that: Uncharted 3 and God Of War 3 look better than Unreal Engine 4 games will or the tech demo does. Also the Naughty Dog PS3 ENGINE PLAYS better than the UE4 ENGINE.

With the sports games Madden, NHL, Fifa, NBA Live etc every year the game looks the same, the graphics engine does not change much just slight tweaks and oh they update the rosters. To get another EA Sports game out would only take two to three months work tops, lol. So with GT5 it will be GT5 P add 6 more tracks and 75 more cars = total 12 tracks and 150 cars in full GT5.

Pound for pound, GT5P is value for money....70+ cars, 6 tracks with 2 variations of each, split screen 2 player and GTTV....so far £18 in the UK...which is half price of a normal game...is very good value.

IMHO, okay you'd expect more tracks in a full version game, but would not expect 70+ cars normally in a car game...so I will view this game as being a full game, but a precursor to the complete package available at a later date.

But, when they do release the complete package, it will need to have enough extras to warrant the additional price...ie. double the number of cars and huge numbers of tracks. I don't know what they intend, but I would expect 150+ cars and 20-30 tracks in the full version.

Prediction (June 12th 2017)

Permanent pricedrop for both PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro in October.

PS4 Slim $249 (October 2017)

PS4 Pro $349 (October 2017)

And I think my friend that you're a spoiled fanboy. Now go give 40$ for your Demo...

Well, to be fair, Sony themselves call it a "Prologue" So it's really not a full game.

But I really don't have a problem with it.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

You got a good point about the sports game, another point would be, why buy those sports games at all? Got 5 dollars? Buy a ball, get a few friends, play the game for real, it has the most realistic graphics, controls might be sluggish from person to person, and perfect physics.

The GT5P a lot of people are complaining cause they want the full game and tired of waiting, then they would rather just have a free demo then pay 40 dollars for something that is not the full game or at least 2/3s of it (40/60 = 2/3 for you non math people out there) and it seems a bit of a cash in, its like hey lets release part of the game for 40 dollars make some money then sell the real thing for 60 a year later. All in all I could care less but there are a few valid points for not wanting it, as there are valid points for not liking many games no matter how good they may turn out to be.

for all the people who say gt5p is a "demo" and there nopt payin to dolla for it, RENT IT. rent it from blockbuster for 10 bucks keep up for 2 months, (no late fees) thats what i did with madden 08.

gt5p really isnt a demo. it has 75 cars (burnout paradise has 75 cars), 6 tracks, tuning, spiltscreen, 16 player online. gt4p sold like 1.93 million copies? more than nfs pro street, so gt5p will sell prolly 1.5 million

GT5 P for the die hard fans of the series. Hey I will get a PS3 when I see both GT5 and FF XIII available in retail stores and it will be significantly cheaper to buy a console then.
GT5 and FF XIII will sell more than any of the other soon to be released games on the PS3.

There are lots of other great games available on the PS3 including: COD 4, Deil May Cry 4,  Assassins Creed, Rock Band, Resistance , Motor Storm, Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction, Burnout Paradise.

But it takes a particular game or two or even price that makes a person purchase a console.

I wonder if selling this is a good idea. After all, it might be sufficient enough of a substitute to eat into sales of the full game, at least in North America where to the best of my knowledge Sony has not previously done a prologue.
