Ugh, why is another game tacking on Arkham combat? Enough already.
Oh, it's also made by WB. It all makes sense now.
I swear, all their games are going to start having the same problems that Ubisoft games face. Stop homoginizing gameplay mechanics so that they become company wide. Just the same way every Ubisoft AAA game now feels like an AssCreed game, every WB game is starting to feel like an Arkham game. STOP IT.
It's such a blatantly profit-first, creativity-last way to make games.

I agree. I really love the Arkham combat system but i'm not sure it would work in a game like this. Seems a bit lazy to me.

I saw gameplay mechanics... I eh... It's pretty weird, i have no idea why WB is doing same Arkham fighting mechanic.
You know what would happen to this game... Skin or Story DLCs annoucment season pass stuff, cool ads, 9/10 rated by reviewers, GOTY, you name it... So yeah, that's Warner Bros. Hmphh

The big 3 pubs with the inclusion of Capcom/WB seem to use the same formula in their games over the past half decade, battlefront for example is looking more and more like Battlefield and is being limited in the process, DR3 while decent still feels like DR2, Ass Creed has felt the same for years, Batman is more or less the same with a few additions, two COD franchises now starting to look the same.
I think they just find it easier to cut corners and mix already existing ideas into most of their games based on what sold well and what didn't rather than taking the risk of making something completely new or making a sequel to an already existing franchise but completely changed, chances of them doing the latter though are very slim, especially when you've got someone like bobby at Activision, he doesn't like change at all, if it doesn't net him enough money it's never going to happen.
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
I need this in my life ... looks like WB is pulling another Shadow of Mordor scenario .... no one expected that game to be great.

I think you're misunderstanding what I'm saying. The Batman games are supposed to feel like each other. The AssCreed, COD, and Dead Rising games are supposed to feel like each other within their respective franchises. The problem arises when Batman, LotR, and Mad Max all feel the same. When AssCreed, Far Cry, and Watch_Dogs all feel like each other across multiple franchises. Like I don't feel like any Capcom game feels like other ones.
It's just so annoying. There's literally no reason that Mad Max's combat should be like that other than the fact that WB owns the engine. Now it makes sense why the Batmobile is finally debuting now. I'd bet money that the Batmobile and Max's vehicles control exactly the same and use the exact same mechanics. So lazy.
Not on the devs, but on the publishers.

I still don't think it is great.
