Forums - Nintendo - How to avoid Brawl lag?

is their any way of telling how good the connection to other players is, something like a ping value, or some of indicator?

also, are their any filters available, you know like to filter by region or country?

Hrmm, I've been told horror stories of you from Makingmusic.  Then again I tend to beat Makingmusic too.  Sure, we'll give it a go.  Only a few matches though, cause I gotta sleep soon.

lol haha ok i'm going to sleep soon too so 1-2 match you make the game.

Ah, crap. I d/ced. Creating another room.

Edit: What the heck, it d/ced again?  You try hosting.

Finally added mine to the list, should warn though: I'm not as awesome as I think I am.

ok i'll host ...umm wtf weird i was playing just find against music and iclim just find 5mins ago :/

This is really weird... there must be some sort of bug. Makingmusic said something about this happening to him and iclim too. I don't know what the heck it is, but it seems to be preventing me from playing you.

But, since I'm online anyway, up for a match twesterm?

Edit: NM, too late for me.  I need to sleep.

It would be cool if Nintendo had a connection test before allowing you to connect. It could deny you access to random matches if your bandwidth is too low.

The error message could read: "You are too poor to play online. Please upgrade to true high speed internet."

Seriously, DSL and Dial-up shouldn't be allowed. I would like to be able to filter those users out of my search.

My End of 2008 Hardware Predictions (console only):
