^ pretty much, when your favorite console or just company in general are in deep shit. Fans and Fanboys of dat company tend to be on the internet alot due to many reasons such like:

1. Maybe they dont have anything to play on or..

2. Pissed off and want to express their thought on the internet or...

3. Create awareness dat their company is bla bla bla in the gaming community or...

4. whatever the cases.

Overall, i think Nintendo need to step up their tech and games so they could complete with Microsoft and Sony. Like seriously, the majority of Wii U games are either have very crappy online modes and/or just abosulutely no Voice Chat support at all :(. Its 2k15 already Nintendo, is it it too much for the Fans to ask for something dat it already existed since the PS2/XBOX era ??? Just sayin.

Yeah you summed up, but the funny thing is PS Vita is under the same circumstance but PS fans seem more relax and don't care lol, Maybe most of gamer really focusing more on console rather then handled, where console wining is more precious then handled.

If I might toss in my theory, I think it's because this site is a safe place for Nintendo fans to go. Spend time on any unmoderated forum or comment section and it's almost nothing but trolls and Nintendo bashers at every turn. You can hardly even talk about it. In fact, that's why I was drawn here, and why I think a lot of Nintendo fans are drawn here. We can have a conversation about the company we love without being buried in negativity.

As much as I dislike Xbox, it would make more sense to talk about it more. Of course PS is the most successful, so why not more Sony talk? Maybe 3DS, but a lot of Wii U posts are posted. in my opinion many people who are on this site are interested in gaming and do know alot about all the system, the games and everything. They are just well informed.

They exactly know what each console can do, what it cant, what its problems and so on.

Anf if you conside everything the wii u is just the best console this gen. I did the same some month ago as i decided to get a nextgen system. First i wanted the ps4 but i watched ALOT videos and read alot and came to the conclusion that the wii u is superior.

Also many people who own all 3 consoles do like the wii u most.

On amazon for my country the wii u is the best rated to

Ps4: 3,9/5 stars 

xbox one: 4,2/5 stars

Wii u: 4,7/5 stars

 

Why its the worst (by far) in sales then?

Well the average console gamer is lazy. He dont do all this information stuff. He see adversistment, see sony is cool, buys ps4. He have no idea about the real differences. Sony did just by far the best job in marketing. And marketing is much more important for sales then quality.

Its similar for the games: Why do you think call of duty is selling soo well. because the game quality? they all got average ratings at best on metaciritcs/amazon or whatever. COD is for sure by far not the best ps4 game, but sold most unuts.

 

 

Conclusion: For people who are good informend (people who are using this side/a gaming related forum are good infomred) the wii u is the best console because in fact its just the best. well infordmet people arnt influenced by marketing.

But the average console buyer (which are like 95%) they just dont know that. They just buy what have the best marketing.

 

A friend of me got the ps4 and he got so pissed he had to pay for psn. He doesnt even know that. The game "plants vs. zombies: garden warfare" have ALOT 1 star ratings, because people cant play it without psn. Many ps4 buyer dont even know they have to pay for psn. They get pissed about it. because they are to lazy to get some information.
