Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

As the new HoloLens boss, Needham works under Kinect mastermind Kudo Tsunoda, who is now the head of Microsoft Studios’ entire portfolio of games (not including Halo, Gears of War, or Forza, which have their own dedicated teams).

I had to Lol at that a bit. So Tsunoda is head of Fable then*? And he has no influence over the franchises that are the major driving forces for Xbox.

I do think Hololens is illumiroom done right. I never thought Illumiroom had a chance in the consumer space, but Hololens is a much more attractive proposition. The advantage of Illumiroom was that one device was all that is needed no matter the number of people, but of course Hololens is a one person only device. But still, over all Hololens has better appeal.

I still don't see AR as being as good for gaming uses as VR. What comes out for both technologies will be interesting to watch, from the sidelines.

*And Rare of course
