I'd be suprised if it was as big of a hit as it was in Japan in the US. A remote is different, you just swing it around while still remaining on your couch. There is a reason why singstar isnt big here but Guitar Hero is. Americans dont like anything that embarasses them.

It will be big, but not Wii Sports or Guitar Hero big. Lifetime im predicting about 2,000,000 in the US. It wont replace exercise equiptment, and if it really is going to come out in May its going to be eclipsed by GTA.

Then again, marketing well enough (MUCH BETTER THAN BRAWL) may save it. Who knows? Well see.

most of the people buying wii fit won't be considering gta

and it'll sell more than 2mil in the US in 2008 alone; we can make a bet on that if u want

singstar is a group game that u can be embarrassed by since u have to sing...wii fit is a single player title that you play alone to get a workout, so no embarassment will occur

wii fit will outsell gta (combined consoles) ww ltd and a big part of those sales will be in the US


sidenote: gta won't be nearly as big as most here think...last gen it had a bigger install base and more CASUALS who eat up the title but most will NOT buy a console for 1 or 2 titles, thus why they are CASUALS...ps360 have less % of casuals than last gen, and less total numbers, so gta4 won't sell as much as previous versions

 Guitar Hero 3 was targetted at the casual party gamer crowd. Wii Fit is much more the single player experience. They have completely different target audiences and cannot be directly compared like that. In addition Guitar Hero 3's gameplay was entirely known to the masses where as Wii Fit is still fairly unknown. You might want to put a little more thought into your arguement next time.

That much is absolutely true and it is very sad to me. The game will almost certainly be an amazing experience for its target audience. The unbelievably strong sales in Japan are great evidence of that. Still the game will get slagged in reviews because it is not a gamer's game. Much like Wii Sports and Wii Play before it, there is no point to the gameranking score of Wii Fit. Of course no one in the target audience will ever read even one of the reviews of the game so it won't hurt it any.
