Oh, I thought that was the easiest. They could have other resistances.

You'll need ground gear for the last phase.

It was - I just had no skells left. I'm at the last phase now. Did he just... Was I not paying attention to that meter, or did the boss just do what I think it did, and if so, why hasn't it effected Elma?

He defuels all Skells, maybe Elma was in overdrive and it didn't affect her. Or it was a bug.

Considering the battle system XCX has, it could have and should have used an identical form of presentation. Instead, you have one button dedicated for zooming the camera, one lock on in which you can't rotate the camera or it stops locking on, a camera with too many customication options, and an extremely boring locking battles because the fight's camera work during them is boring and terrible at framing the action in an interesting way.

XCX didn't need stronger hardware for that. It needed better designers. The game is littered with issues like that.

Are you using the right analog trigger to lock on to body parts? The green symbol gets a red frame around it when you are locked on.

Must be a bug. Her bar is full, but she won't use it even when I command her to.

Either way, I just beat the (hopefully) final boss. About two minutes ago. I entered this zen-like trance near the end where I was swapping through arts strategically like clock work. I fucking love this battle system, even though some of the mechanics are totally lost on me.

I never was able to build those TP augments, but I had a lot of arts that built TP, so I managed fine. The fight isn't unbeatable. It's just the Skell issue that is extremely annoying. And honestly, it's really just having to wait like 5 minutes through cutscenes and rebooting if you die. It's literally unbearable. The last phase is actually my favorite because the Skell thing isn't an issue so I was able to just keep retrying without having to wait for anything. I'm about to start the next cutscene.

Great twist, by the way. I kind of suspected something in that direction because of the nature of overdrives and the existance of post game content, but fortunately, I didn't think about it hard enough to ruin the suprise for myself.

That's not what I'm talking about. If you press the left bumper, the camera reframes itself so that the player and the selected enemy are in view at all times, but the game controls the camera position automatically independant of the player. If you try to adjust it because you don't like the way the game is framing the action, which will happen 100% of the time because the lock on camera sucks and even if it didn't, there's no way for the game to know where you want the camera at any given time in a real time action scenario like that, the lock on will immediately deactivate and the camera will go back to framing only the player.

Thank you for clarifying what you meant. Sorry for misunderstanding you.

I honestly gave up not rotating the camera manually after a few seconds.

Just beat the game. That ending was sooo much better than the original. It's insane just how much better chapters 11 and 12 are presented than literally everything else in the game. It makes me cry thinking about how much better this game would have been if the rest of the chapters and affinity missions where presented this well. Just wow.

Anyone know a good place to look to find a detailed summary of all the Skells in the game? I want to start planning post game builds.
