I feel like an idiot for even asking, but I can't figure out how to effectively cycle between targets while in combat. Tapping L only seems to work about once every 10 times I tap it, and holding L while using the D-pad or right stick does other stuff.

Also, I stupidly accepted the "weaponized" affinity mission, which I'm now locked into, and it's telling me that to complete it I have to go to a location in Sylvalum. Sylvalum!? I'm Level 17 and only just got to Oblivia and Noctilum! Does this mean it'll be a good 10 hours or something before I can progress the story? If so, that's a major annoyance.

do u mean switching ur target enemies? just press R + Y to left enemy or R + A to right enemy

Now I really do feel like an idiot, because as soon as I read this, I remembered hearing it early in the game. I just forgot.

Thanks.

About Sylvalum, it's not that far away. I thought I would have to swim like 1 hour or so, but it's closer than it appears on the map xDDD. The scale of the map made me believe that there are a size of a continent between Primordia and Sylvalum. There's an affinity mission where you have to go to Cauldros. That's another level of craziness.

Guess I'll just swim there and see if I'm levelled enough to do the quest... (Whole party is at 19 now)

My god this thing is a love hate game.

To much broken mechanics, getting stuck in impossible quests you cant abandon. Way to many fetch quest. And super lols is droping a party member and having to find them again.

Im stick at 4 and cant progress further.

Need a skell badly can afford one yet have no clue how to get one, lol this game is a cluster of way to many ideas badly implemented.  Addicting like a drug.

So, I know I am going to be lynched for this as usual, but.... besides taking all items, How do I level up? Make my person stronger. Do we just use the machine gun the whole game?

Complete basic missions, level up and change your class so you can use different arts and weapons, killing enemies also gives you experience

I won't lynch you, I promise :P. Okey, so, best way for me is buy new and stronger weapons if you're stucked with a mission. It hasn't happened to me yet, but it could happen. Make sure you upgrade all your arts and habilites. And make sure you have a good combination of arts. I don't use only the machine gun (I think it's not a very effective way to play this game), so I combine melee and long-range arts. So read the arts and habilities description carefully and make good use of them. There are some arts and habilities that are effective against mechanoids, agains humanoids... So you can change your arts depending on the situation. You can upgrade your arms habilities in the Armory Alley spending miranium. You can create new habilities for your weapons in the same terminal. If you do the L mission (that blue xenoform lol) and help him to open a shop, you can unlock a device who allows you to unlock new gaps to your weapons to stick more habilities.

So, I know, it's awfully complex and I'm not fluently enough in English to make you understand all of this xDDDD. So, best advise, just have fun and play with all the options you have.

I don't know, the only missions I was stucked was with fetch quests. I managed to get a guide who more or less points you to the right place to that quests. I don't feel like cheating, this could be implemented in game, because some of them are awfully hard. You will be wandering for hours to get maybe a collectible. But, besides that, the rest of the missiones are perfectly guided. In what mission are you stucked?

You can't get a skell before completing chapter 6. And even then, obtaining the skell license isn't easy. You'll be handed a quest for each of the eight divisions, some of them with multiple objectives.

I got a probe i have to set on top of the big dome rock and i cant seem to find a way on to it with out flying.

What in the hell casued them to lock away on of the coolest aspects of the game liek the skells and flight.  What idiot over saw those decisions.

If I remember right that mission, the probe is in plain ground xDDDDD. Are you sure you're following the indication on the mini-map right? I can't help you with that :(. Well, if you have the follow-ball, just press R+X and follow that wall. You'll hit a few walls if you just go straight to the point.
