Not very impressed with the game for now. That first continent is so ugly tbh. I will keep playing of course, I also hated the beginning of Xenoblade Chronicles and TP, my two favorite Wii games.

What are you on? :O It's spectacular.

Any way, I am currently stuck on the "A day in Life" affinity mission... I cant one of those things to drop.. I have killed a lot of them but still no drop for me :<

Is that the one with the blue tentacle?  I saw it in a stream, try targeting the tail of the thing.

Aim to the tentacle. It seems that some things are easier to get if you break the correct parts of the enemies. I get it at the first shot once I figured that out.

I played it for four hours today. This game is just as I expected it to be, so far. A polished open-world Xenosaga game with decent gameplay and slightly better pacing (so far.) The pacing and writing are more like Xenosaga than Xenoblade Chronicles or Xenogears, but a few of the problems with Xenosaga are fixed, while a few I can tell will remain. The barrack room reminds me of the conference room in Yggdrasil in Xenogears, and the mechs give so much Xenogears nostalgia when you see them in game. The characters are very down to Earth and normal, rather than explicitly special, which was a trait of Xenosaga that I distinguish from Xenogears/Xenoblade Chronicles. That can be a good or bad thing.

I am not bothered with the customizable NPC to be honest. It helps fit the plot and gameplay to have one (everything can be introduced as if it is new.)

Since I already spoiled myself on most of the story twists months ago, it is interesting to me how early they are foreshadowing some things in-game, but that is Monolith Soft for you. (Non-explicit spoiler/hint) Also you can kind of see foreshadowing in the character designs. That is all I will say about that.

I've just entered Cauldros, it's great that you can walk wherever you want, whenever you want. And wow, just wow. What a first view of that continent. Loving it!

Anyone know how to complete the trailblazing mission with the Simius?

The objective marker takes me to a tall plateau with no way up.

you maybe need a skell with flighting ability.

So, protip I just noticed while watching a stream.

If someone - say Elma - calls for healing but the indicated desired art is a green art (a buff), casting that will fulfill the soul voice and gain HP and of course provide the buff. Should be something not hard to pick up on with the flashing arts but still, thought I would pass that on.

Anyone seen sound issue during the battles? Sometimes music is turn off, sound repeated for awhile and monsters not attack you. Seconds later everything goes back to normal. Got this 5-6 times in a ten hours ingame.

This is the only thing that bother me so far.

Can't be, it's a really early quest, like 3 hours in.

I just finished a 5 hour playing session, I started in chapter 4 and I ended on chapter 4 , there is so much to do in the game it´s crazy, I can keep playing without actually moving foward in the story and I love it, the more I get to do without involving the main story the better, not because I don´t want to play it but because I love the extra stuff.
