It was never confirmed either way. This is another 1.5 release.

The game is said to be a brand new game in the series, but will include a part of Fairy Fencer F, allowing people new to it to be able to follow the storyline

Still a 1.5 release. This was the original announcement last year.

"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

i still need to buy the first one, but the recent amount of Japanese games that have come out for the PS3 plus the rise of the dollar is making it really hard for me to buy all this games...

and good to see this games get some attention over here, they are not the most amazing Jrpgs but they are certainly enjoyable.

PS4 Exclusive Fairy Fencer F’s New Trailer Reveals Staff, Death Note Writer and FF Character Designer.

"Today Compile Heart released a new teaser trailer of the PS4 exclusive JRPG Fairy Fencer F: Advent Dark Force, and it revealed the game’s main staff, which is basically a galaxy of stars."

Would buy alone, based on this:

The game is developed by the Neptunia team.

I have high expectations when there are this many good things put together..... usually the cake ends up well baked.

You gotta do the cooking by the book.

Ever time I hear the Compile Heart music I miss badgergnome a little bit more.

Also, Yoshitaka Amano, holy hell.  That's some serious street cred.

Didn't realise this was a 1.5 version. I'm more interested now. And glad I waited on the PS3 game (I wonder if this is what IFI will port over to PC rather than the vanilla game? Rights to the original FFF might be difficult with NISA having done the translation).
