Are you sure they do this with every new game? It seems like someone could just buy a game, return it after a week and then move onto the next one and repeat.

My interpretation of the Gamestop return policy is that you can do this with every game you preorder.

(You can also do it with all used games.)

@XGamer -- Where are they doing 21 days on used games? Did they liberalize their policies lately and I miss it? Thanks

Every time I have purchased a game the game associate always reminds me that I have seven days to return it for full credit. They told me when I purchased Mass Effect, Kane & Lynch, Rachet and Clank: TOD, and RE: UC

To me it's saying you won't like the game so I don't like it.

I think it's smart. It's basically just advertising there return policy, so you know why you should buy a game from GameStop and not Wal-Mart or Target, or anywhere else.

Plus, if the game is good, the extra sales they get from it will outweigh the returns.

no. New games once they are opened can NOT be returned for any reason. even if it was like an hour after purchase Used games have 7 days after they are purchased that they can be returned for any reason.

I am a Gamestop manager so thats how I know for sure 

and if you read carefully you have to pre order Haze and then trade it in. Gamestop/ EB are HUGE on reserves and trade-ins so this really works in their favor guaranteeing a reserve and trade if BIG

May I ask where you live?

Here in New York there are NO RETURNS on new games and a 7 day limit for returns on used games. I believe used games once had a 14 day limit.

Not sure if they do this all the time with new games as I don't go into eb games alot. I do remember them doing a similar thing (here in Winnipeg at least) with god of war 2, except you had a month to return it.
