Seiken Densetsu 3 was superb. Also the GBA game Sword of Mana was very well done too. Its probably my favorite GBA game.

I have zero love for the series outside of Secret of Mana. That being said, the title is so great that I will always be interested in whatever reboot they try, always hoping they'll recapture the magic. I really doubt that on the PS4 (or anything in the PS' current zeitgeist) that we will truly see anything to rival the awe and joy I felt while playing the original. Honestly, that would have to be done with Nintendo on board to capture the feel. I'm not suggesting that the game couldn't be quality, but that Sony doesn't seem to be in the business of making cute, cuddly games these days. Fighting flowers, bumblebees, and rabbits just doesn't seem to match the PS gamers' aesthetic.
Honestly I'd be happy with Seiken Desetsu 3 finally getting a localization in the west. That and on Wii U with the original SNES graphics.

Sword of Mana was pretty good as well, but nothing else has really been able to set anything.

Didn't they shift away from pixel style after Sword of Mana? I think it throws the rest of the fanbase off when they use anything besides the original Secret of Mana art style.

Man I loved playing this with a friend of mine when I was younger, we d take turns to lead, and to support, but it was just so fun.
The mana games are made for consols, and made for you to play together with your brother/friend/dad ect.
Seikden Densetsu 3 was exactly like Secret Of Mana, was probably better in a lot of respects. That game was HUGE as well (for a SNES game anyway). Secret Of Evermore was also very much like a Mana game although it wasn't technically one.

If someone asks me what I remember of Secret of mana, my first thing to say would be the game world was gigantic.
I loved that you flew (travelled) by being shot out of a cannon :D as a kid that cracked me up.
I remember haveing alot of laughs with it, game had humor too.

Oooh. Just thinking about a PS4 graphical remake of Secret of Mana. Orchestrated music of one of the greatest video game ST ever. HD, 3D graphics, tweaked gameplay to fit the times and give us the 50% of the game that never got released.
