Forums - PC - Cities: Skylines Sells 1 Million Copies

The whole story of this game makes me incredibly, incredibly happy.

You're not the only one!

After being burned by Sim City (yeah... I was one of those mugs who ran out and bought it day 1) and then seeing Cities XXL screw people over, I was very apprehensive about Cities: Skylines. But after the positive reviews from the first week I ended up getting it anyway, the price helped and wow. My GOTY so far in 2015.

The only way I can describe it is Sim City 2000 in 3D.

I have a feeling in PC gaming again that I've not felt since the mid 90s and I'm loving it. It's also wonderful to see that PC gaming still offers a space for a relatively small publisher to be able to put out a million seller with very limited marketing and a developer with so few main team members you can count them on your hands.

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

Well and truly deserved, especially since we were left in the dust when Sim City 2013 turned out to be a total clusterfuck.

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
