NPSV? Sweet. Shame there's barely anyone left developing to take advantage. Some retrospective patches would be nice though.

I wonder how much it'll help in real terms. I remember unlocking the PSP CPU allowed for some massively improved frame rates (Outrun ran at 60fps solid unlocked vs a standard of about 30fps with the restriction.)

Maybe not in the west but devs are still giving quite a bit of support in Japan and sony continues to fund ports like Resident Evil Revelations 2, other titles this could be useful

Final Fantasy Agito,
Saga
Star Ocean
Dragon Quest Heroes 2
Gravity Rush 2 if its still coming

Okay I missed that one! :O

Will be spamming petitions to bring that one west something chronic haha!

RIP Dad 25/11/51 - 13/12/13. You will be missed but never forgotten.

O.o Isnt it a bit late for that Sony? Hopefully means better games, but i dont get why they delayed such a significant feature

I think that this is related to dropping Near support, maps etc. Seems like system had memory reserved for apps like that.

I don't know much about handheld development or ram and all that. So I have a question. Does this help only new games run better or will it improve old games already developed and released? I have Borderlands on my Vita and it's pretty sluggish at times it would be amazing if it had just a tiny bit of performance boost.

Only if they choose to do it with a patch (most likely won't), if not it'll be the same game running with the same specs.

Ah ok, I was afraid of that. Thank you for the quick repsponse (:

Throwing a GoW there, a GT, maybe an Infamous. Would be nice.

GOW, GT and Infamous, are games that sell well in west, and not in Japan... And since Vita is a console that sells OK in Japan and abysmal in west, expecting big investments from SONY in terms of "western games" is a tad bit unrealistic. :(
