Forums - Gaming - About potential Wii HD games on Wii U

I keep seeing some people hoping to see some HD Wii games on Wii U, like Mario Galaxy games, Zelda Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword, Metroid Trilogy...but relle there a zero chance to something like that.

First, Wii U is Wii backward compatibility, you can already play all Wii games on Wii U, so there is not chance that Nintendo will release HD version of game that already you can play on system, especially now when Nintendo started releasing Wii digital games for Wii U.

Second, even if Wii U isn't Wii backward compatibility, I don't believe that Nintend would release Wii HD games on Wii U, because they are games from last gen, they are not that old, and you can still find them in stores.

And Wii is GameCube backward compatible, you can already play all GameCube games on Wii, so there is no chance that Nintendo will release Wii versions of games that you can already play on that system... oh wait... Metroid Prime 1 & 2, Pikmin 1 & 2, Mario Power Tennis, Donkey Kong Jungle Beat, Chibi-Robo, Resident Evil 4, Lego Star Wars... These games also weren't that old, and you could still find them in stores.

If Nintendo (and Capcom and others) could justify these ports with changes of the controller, they could do it again: "Many Wii games don't work well in the tv-off-mode of the Wii U and many fans asked for an option to play Wii games with the tablet controller / pro controller. We heard you! Therefore we are announcing today the 'U Play Control!'-series of TV-off-compatible Wii classics with additional controller options. Please understand: these are not simple ports, they also come with updated graphics and Amiibo support."

Like a PS3 and Wii had GC backward compatibility on beginning, letter Wii didn't have support for GC games.

All that games are simple ports with Wii Remote support.

Later Wii U consoles may not have support for Wii games. Problem solved.

No, Wii U have now have Wii games on Virtual Console, Wii dindt have that for GC games.

Don't really believe there's another HD remake coming for Wii U. Zelda came out in 2013 and sold very well considering Wii U's fortunes at the time.
But despite that we saw nothing else until today. If they had anything else planned for a remake treatment we would have probably seen it by now.

Now, for 3DS it makes perfect sense.
It would allow Nintendo to concentrate on next gen whilst releasing games on 3DS, preventing droughts - or bigger droughts - from happening.

I am pretty sure we will see at least another GC HD remake (probably Mario Sunshine) for Wii U, maybe at E3.

I wouldn't mind seeing Sunshine being remade for Wii U. All those beach levels would look even better on Wii U's HW.

I want Xenoblade Chronicles HD because I cannot find anywhere to buy it in normal price and to play this game on emulator you must overclock your cpu to 4 ghz
