Agreed. That's why Gen 5 is the best one imo.

For me it's 2>4>6>5, I have the original Pokémon Blue, but I haven't played much of it because Pokémon Gold was better and included Gen 1 in the post-game. Also, I've yet to play my copy of Omega Ruby =P

Are we counting the remakes as part of the gens? Well, if not I am here.

1. Gen IV - Sinnoh got me back into Pokemon and HeartGold has yet to be topped IMO
2. Gen VI - Haven't had to even play them to know they're objectively the best in the series. That counts for a lot.
3. Gen III - This is entirely LeafGreen nostalgia. Couldn't care less about Hoenn's games, but I did really enjoy the new Pokemon added in this gen.
4. Gen II - Why play these when Gen IV's remakes did it so much better?
5. Gen I - Objectively the worst games in the main series, buggy as all hell, barely worked, but I still have some Yellow nostalgia.
6. Gen V - Black and White 2 were a decent turnaround, but the first two BW games are IMO the worst by far in the series. The attempt to create an isolated region with different Pokemon just fell flat to me. I don't want 150 Pokemon per gen if 50+ of them are your way of replacing Golem/whatever worked already in Gen I-IV. Don't waste your time, it just waters down the product for everybody. That plus legendary overload hit its peak in BW IIRC. Gen IV might've been close to the amount of legendaries too, but I think most of them were explained better and helped craft the Pokelore better than anything in V.
