Is this a good or a bad idea?

Good 3 16.67%

Maybe 4 22.22%

Bad 9 50.00%

Got potential 2 11.11%

Remakes would have been so much better if we had a choice, if Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo or any of the third party publisher presents us with a poll where we  could pick and vote on which game we would like to have on the next gem systems. The game with the most votes win and the people have decided. atleast people would have gotten what they want, and i don't see how these companies would loose any profits on it either, since it's a lot better option then giving us a game that doesn't appeal to us at all, atleast not now, and it's their job to present us a list over games that they actually can give us.

It should be the consumers choice to decide which games should be ported from the previous generation, not the companies.
Like, who asked for sleeping dogs?

A option where we can say no, we don't want any of these games, would have been appriciated as well

It would be awesome to have a survey where we can tell them what types of games we want in the future. All this is something they could have added to the consoles in some form of an app, and this app would alert us when it is updated with a new poll or a survey ( we can turn it on and off optionally in settings )  Give us the freedom to tell them what we want, would be a better future for the gaming community overall, atleast we know that the majority of gamers are getting a game that they actually want, therefore we can't really blame the companies for their bad decisions.

i know this is a stupid idea.

I think one of the things that makes sequels and new games so great is the reveal that the company is making the game. Just look at Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, those games amazed fans because game freak listened to the fans and we go the game we wanted. If there was just a poll a lot of the excitement factor would be taken away. But I could see it still be pretty exciting if they were to do something like that.

Yep, bad idea. The vocal minority on the internet that would vote on things like that are exactly that, a minority. They need games that will actually sell well and not just that certain people want but will barely sell. Also some games needed the re release as the original release didn't do so well, that's the case with Sleeping Dogs.

What if it is a sequal to a game, and they creates a survey which ask us what we would love to see in the next game, like with the Order 1886, creating a survey on what we would love to see, so we can decide on which of their ideas is the better onces. We are only validating on ideas they have created, and since we don't know which one will be the winner, it's still a mystery

It can be done in a way, that doesn't reveal much of how the game will turn out or what it could be, but somehow participate with validating on what we think could be the best idea, of the different ideas they presented to us. since we don't know the outcome, we still got a lot to be excited about, it doesn't even mean that we should participate with the entire game, but a few key-elements.

Options like:

Hk416?

or

M16?

AG3?

or

MP5?

Small decisions like that, could make a huge difference.

I've almost never seen a AG3 in a game, and it is a great and reliable weapon too, it would be nice to see it more in games. i pick that one.

Those decisions won't dictate how this game will end up. just the items.

I wasn't thinking about the story, but elements in the Gameplay, like simple but yet not obvious questions that will reveal the outcome of the game,

Like:
What kind of weapons would you like to see in the sequal?

(type answer here)

What kind of crafting system would you prefer?

(type answer here)

it all depends on what game it really is.

Like the Order? Who is the best judge to judge what the game was missing, then the consumers?

So a third part company or writer, will create a survey that would allow us to be able to narrow down all the flawes in their previous game, so that they might know how to iron it out better on the next game.  It sounds like it would be a messy survey, but if it's done right, and the options is done right, it sounds like something that could work.  we don't need any input in the game at all, but we might be able to tell them that the werewolves fights was horrible repeatable, please don't do that again. It would be more like helping the devs, then to dictate how the game will become.
the Devs on H1Z1 did this, and it worked incredible well. They just opened a forum, and said: come with great ideas, and we will look through it and pick the ones that works.

You can tell companies what games you like with your wallet. There is no need to use those silly surveys you speak of, just dish out the money.

remakes are another thing but not hd collections with slight improvements

Modern remakes are simply what will net the most profit rather than what gamers want.
