This. I have moments of utter frustration or am snowed under at work but then times of nothing to do. So here I am. If people look at the times I post, it's not usually at night or weekends (GMT)

Because this place doesn't has as much hatred as other websites.

I go to VGChartz because it has a nice forum system.
I go to Gaf because it has some good discussions
I go to IGN because I've got some friends there

News and entertainment basically.

Like being involved in a gaming community. There are people I know who game, but not to the same extent - they don't know, and would have no interest in, games outside what they already know, with very few exceptions. And none have any interest in stuff like sales.

Also like the size of this site. It is small enough that you get to recognize people after a short amount of time, easy to remember what they are generally about, but it is big enough to generally be busy and have a decent amount of things going on. I would probably be on gaf too if their sign up policy wasn't what it was, but I would still come back here anyway.

I like to see other's opinions and topics of dicussion, sometimes I sit and read topics for around a half hour and never comment but just read, sometimes I'll jump in and throw my say.

I usually go from site to site though to formulate overall opinions from one place to another to see who populates each site the most, I'm pretty much a regular on Destructoid, The Escapist, PC Gamer, Games and lastly VGcharts.

I dig this site though because it allows us to use sigs of varying sizes and bigger avatars, something most sites restrain to a small degree, I also like the green/black/white colour scheme as well as the website layout in general, it's a lot more pleasing than Destructoid/Escapist's layout.

No friends in the real to talk about games, something I love. I like seeing the reactions to games, I like Empire because I can talk to people who share common interests as well. I first joined this website as I couldn't find a good place on the internet to talk Xbox, this website and the Xbox thread changed that.

To also share my opinions and have to see what others think as well.

I choose VGC over places like IGN because at least moderations exist, I may not agree with it all the time, but I appreciate it nonetheless. If it didn't exist it would turn into a YT comment section.
