I doubt it... Japan is the 3DS' best region and I doubt the US can catch up before it's discontinued

I think that's a bit of a stretch there Ryng. Japan is currently portable territory while NA is... console/smartphone territory..? Seems kinda unlikely to me.

Is not the same thing, indeed i think that NA will beat JP, but not US.

Difference between US and NA will be ~2,000,000/3,000,000, and considering that probabily in all market 3DS will sell more than 20,000,000 but less than 25,000,000, is important this difference.
