Forums - General Discussion - I love Utada Hikaru

Yes I love me some Utada Hikaru. I thank Kingdom Hearts for me learning about her and finding out what a great artist she is.

I watched like 20 seconds of singing, then took it off and went to youtube look for the original boulevard of broken dreams.

And not even close to the most beautiful girl in the world, just cute and f***able.

the studio is beautiful!

and she speaks English quite well, I'm surprised.

can you say... copyright lawsuit? ;)

Why are you surprised?  She was born and raised in New York, you think all Asians speak with strong fobby accents?  You sir are a racist.

I love Hikaru Utada as much as the next guy, though be aware that most of what you see of her is highly "dolled up." She certainly looks amazing when they do her make and hair and put her in pretty clothes. Normally, she looks a lot more normal, though still attractive.

Though for me, much of her beauty is in her voice.

I love this video of her so much. I'm a fan of the original Boulevard of Broken Dreams, but I might like her version of it a bit better. She has such a powerful voice.

Prettiest in the world I don't know, but she's up there, haha. But regardless, fight on AoA!

The second video was WAY better...her version of BoBD is not that good. Her original stuff sounds pretty interesting though. I will pass this on to the two people I know who love all things Japanese~

Someone needs a fricking blog...

If you are talking about Hikki, then she does have a blog. If you go to her website and click Utada -> Message from Utada, then you can read it. There are very few entries in English though. The Japanese version is updated constantly it looks like.

This link shows both English and Japanese entries: http://www.u3music.com/message/index.php?m=1

Pretty interesting reading if I do say so myself. I used to be a big Hikki fan, though I haven't listened to anything really since the Ultra Blue album.

And AoA, are you sure you won't just simply destroy her...

well she grew up in the US or something like that, right?

Not really but she attended an american high school in Tokyo... she writes songs from the age of 12, had her first hit single at 14 a very talented singer indeed.

Japanese girls FTW!!  and a little bit of photoshop <3.
