Sony Computer Entertainment released its latest rankings for the Japanese PSN, and the PS4 chart includes a surprise.

1. Bloodborne
2. Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance
3. Senran Kagura: Estival Versus
4. Battlefield: Hardline
5. Minecraft: PS4 Edition
6. One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3
7. Resident Evil: Revelations 2
8. Need for Speed Rivals
9. Final Fantasy Type-0 HD
10. Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare.

Interestingly, Disgaea 5 managed to grab a second place, ranking  above Senran Kagura and One Piece, that beat it at retail on their debut week according to Media Create, that placed Nippon Ichi’s latest JRPG in 12th place overall.

It was definitely a strong debut for Bloodborne, especially after the triumph on the Media Create charts. With Japanese PS4 gamers shifting more and more towards digital purchases, it’s hard not to wonder what the actual total is.

Unfortunately Sony does not normally reveal digital figure, so we’ll have to wait for a possible sales milestone press release.

After its poor physical opening i'm glad to see Disgaea 5 is doing well with digital. I'd hate to see the series die, so i hope it can justify itself to NIS in the long run.

NIS really shouldn't have released Disgaea 5 the same week as Bloodborne. Even a week or two later would've made all the difference.

Why wouldn't they make a 6th if it's successful? There's no story tying them together that needs resolving. The series could go on indefinitely as long as it's making enough money to justify those sequels (similar to stuff like Final Fantasy).

Senran Kagura is the second place on Vita, eh?... The claim that Vita owners are a bunch of pervs sounds truer every day.
