I think Mother 3 would have sold much better if it was on DS. DS is where people really started to pick up on franchises that they didn't know much about. It was a totally new era of gaming, and Mother would have benefited from that.

Exactly. They also referenced it during last year's E3. Why show a virtual fan getting upset about Mother 3 not being localized if you don't intend on doing it? (They showed a virtual fan getting upset about Star Fox and look how that turned out) Interesting indeed.

Yeah, yeah...I remember that Robot Chicken thing they showed! I hope they do something creative like that again. But, that is very interesting what you've picked up. They did mention Mother 3 and Star Fox but then again...Reggie did throw a fire ball at the guy who asked for MO3 so... maybe Mother 3 is burned? Taking literary analyses to another lever here...

I've never played Mother 3, but it sounds to me like Itoi may have gotten a little too ambitious...
Everyone I've ever spoken to who has played it either thinks it's the greatest game they've ever played or it fails to do its predecessors justice...
The soundtrack certainly doesn't do EarthBound any kind of justice...

I think that same guy was shot with lasers whenever he mentioned Star Fox, so this must be a good sign!

Currently playing Mother 2 and I`m really enjoying it. I plan to get to Mother 3 afterwards in preparation for Mother 4 ; ) It would be cool if they finally released it to the west. I would get a copy.
