Monthly:
PS4: #41 & #96 (Limited Batman Bundle)
XBO: #42 (ACU Bundle) & #52 (MCC Bundle)
Wii U: #62

Damn, XBO > PS4 in monthly (all SKUs combinet)

NPD will be interesting!

Considering the original PS4 is now considerred a DVD player by Amazon.... I wouldn't base anything off of this.

3DS first for April and May NPD? Hope so.

I think it has come to the point where Amazon has lost its usefullness in predicting the winner. Amazon only encompasses 5% of US sales while the vast majoriy comes from Best Buy, Gamestop, Target, and Walmart. Based on personal observations, the PS4 has been leading in those retailers for the majority of April. Abdiel also said that the PS4 sold better across the board at the national level in Best Buy. It's really too bad that The Shogun is banned =/

Well, i still expect a massive PS4 dropped this month. I also starting to think that my 175,000 PS4 prediction for this month is VERY generus... maybe 150,000 / 160,000 is more probabily.

+200,000 seem seriusly too much at this point...

There's going to be major dropoff, for sure. It's just too bad that we're now in the dark when it comes to predicting NPD winners.

Disagree. Is amazing when wee don't know who will win the NPD.

Is so bored when we all know who will win... now is more interesting, you don't think?

Actually we don't know.

Even as it can look like this there is no proof, the difference between 41 to 42 + 96 sales may be both more or less than 42 sales.

Amazon do say PS4 had the best selling sku though, so there will be no objevtice combo break to its prediction streak.

Yeah, but is more likely XBO > PS4 this month (according to Amazon).

For the NPD, i still think PS4 will win. By how much?

Well, my prediction was PS4 at 175,000 and XBO at 120,000... let's see...

Even as I agree that those ranks point to it (as they should, PS4 was half the month with several problems there), what Amazon objectively points is that PS4 best sku > XBO best sku, so if PS4 win NPD there will be no loss of reliability towards Amazon US ranking.

About the sales, I don't know, aside from Amazon with its problems the PS4 dominated digital retailers all over the month, so it should have a confortable lead towards the XBO at this NPD numbers.

yeah, we can say that Amazon have XBO and PS4 pretty close, with probabily XBO above PS4, but still... if PS4 win by a smaller margin, we can say that amazon was not bad track.

If PS4 win by a huge margin (+30,000) this time Amazon have failure... for me, of course.

Regardless of how the month turns out, I'd still consider Amazon reliable.

The PS5 Exists.

I think we have to take into account the Batman bundle releasing next month.

Also as i mentioned before WM has a free controller with TLoU bundle. And now they have another deal with a free copy of The Order-

http://www.walmart.com/browse/video-games/2636?cat_id=2636&facet=video_game_platform:PlayStation%204%7C%7Cvideo_game_platform:Xbox%20One

There could be many reasons for PS4's weird charting on Amazon lately. Rember that also WM is much bigger than Amazon for NPD data. As is other retailers. The whole month of April sales charts didn't really follow Amazon. While they had stock issues and transitioning to the new bundle, other retailers were business as usual. You can't use Amazon to predict NPD if other retailers don't match up. That's the way i do it anyway.
