Forums - Sony - This is digusting (Caution: Very disturbing)

I pirate games and buy them if they are good(XBOX, PSP and hopefully one day DS). It saved me from wasting money on Patapon(I hated it but gets lots of credit for creativity). Of course I have used my PSP about 10 hours in the past year so I dont really feel bad.

I would put my money on at most 5%(with exception of GOW, MGS and games of that calibur) of those bootleggers actually buying the game that they pirated if they had no bootlegging option. Its not a huge financial loss.

I am in possesion of 100's of bootleg movies, most I have watched once and will never see again. All my real movies I watch multiple times. I have like 300 bootleg XBOX 1 games(I bootlegged them when they were newly released) and have spent less than 5 minutes with 99% of them. I dont see the big deal, its as if I rented them. I dont feel bad from taking money from gamefly or netflix.



Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

Keep in mind that torrent downloads is not exact downloads. I can donwload the torrent, see the speed and if it's low stop downloading it but the number will still increase.

I don't have a PSP anymore buy I used to have the original 1.5 firmware and I tried downloading a few games to see whats the deal and they load 3X faster. I'd pay the same money for the game to come on a memory stick if I could...

I know its stealing. But if something is better than the paid service, I frankly dont care. Call me ignorant and stupid of you want... Paid service should be the best of its kind if you ask me.

What if I can afford a ferrari and want to buy one...but instead some illegal company is upgrading toyota celica cars to look better than a ferrari, handle better and go faster... and for some reason they are giving it away for free while im fully looking to pay them for it. I guess I could buy the original game and rip it myself, but I don't know how to do that...

I honestly don't care if ferrari or sony go out of business...I want the best.

You are still in high school so i will not laugh at you for thinking Sony are passionate about games. they are passionate about making money of games for sure...Game development studios are the ones that are passionate my friend, and not all (EA, Activision are sweatshops)...but once again I state, i own 42 or 43 wii and 360 games, all of which were paid for.You people are assuming that everyone downloading games is going to buy them instead. This is not the case. I didn't really want god of war and then download it for PSP and then sit in the corner of my room laughing how I am disenfranchising Sony.

My story is that I heard that PSP games run better off memory stick...and that all kind of cool homebrew and emulators run on it if you mod it. So I modded it myself...tried out a few games for 2 or 3 days, played a few emulators...sold the device a month later as I wasn’t playing it.

And I still don't care if Sony or Microsoft go out of business. I’d be sorry for people that lost their jobs, but as a corporation entity…both can go suck a lemon.

You people care about corporations more than your family it seems...

It may be a moot point, but mininova is an RSS aggregator for lots of torrent sites including the pirate bay, so the numbers are not for 1 site.
Also for those that say pirate software is bad: Have you never watched, listened to or played anything pirated? Never backed up a friends DVD or audio CD? I reckon there are very few of you that can honestly say yes.

Wow, that literally MILLIONS of dollars down the tube for developers! That's messed up and the PSP for sure would be doing much better than it is now.
