Cool, looks like Top Spin 3 is heading for the Wii, with exactly what I wanted. Now, another question... is there an extension cord for the nun-chuck? If not, I might need to get the wireless for this game.

I really want a Mario Tennis... I think it would be like MP8...the best selling yet...
1 2 3 not only you and me.
Livin' in sin is the new thing.

The only disappointing thing about games such as Sega Superstars Tennis, Topspin 3 and The Bigs is that they aren't built from the ground up for the Wii, rather, they are multiplatform games. Like all multiplatformers that come out for the Wii they are inevitably disappointing because for developers, the emphasis is usually on their HD conterparts.
Take Rockstar Table tennis for example which had a very cumbersome system, not fully comitting itself to motion functionality, owing to its dated control pad legacy. The Wii is unique and is thus not conducive to cross platform development. Imagine Wii Sports on Xbox or PS3, it would be awful. The same applies in the opposite direction IMO. Wait for Wii Sports 2, Deca Sports or Mario Tennis.

Good point, but if Top Spin is any good on the Wii, it's a lot more my style of game then all the others you mentioned. While I love the Wii controls, I am still on the fence when it comes to Nintendo's are direction. Although SMG is very very good.

Nyko is coming out with a wireless nunchuck
wii sports is just a tech demo of what can be done on the console and how fun it could be, if it were made deeper then it would be a fully fleshed out game and not viable as a pack in game like it has been for about a year now for Europe and America.

Plenty of full Mario games have made excellent pack ins.....
I'd really like a Wii sports 2, Wii Hockey would be awesome.
Yeah 1 of the things Nintendo should do with their money is to invest in more Sports games, maybe a Sports division of their own like EA Sports. The Wii brand could grow even bigger if they did that with titles such as:
Wii Tennis (Mario Tennis can coexist with a decent tennis sim)
Wii Bowling
Wii Punch Out!
Wii Ski (Whiskey hehe: it would include all winter sports)
Wii NBA Basketball (with Mii's that resemble the NBA stars)
Wii Golf
Wii Rally
Wii NFL Hockey
Wii soccer (comes with a knee pad pheripheral to capture kicking motions, supports the balance board)
Well if they going to actual put a decent amount of money to make those games you've listed, it's going to cost a fair amount for people to buy those type of games.
