E3 direct lasting 20 minutes confirmed
| DélioPT said: It's not that a single 2016 game won't appear, it's just that 2016 will NOT be the focus. There's no point in arguing semantics on what "highlight" means. The point is that if they had a balanced show between 2015 and 2016 games, the statement would make that clear. But when 2016 doesn't even have something as small as a reference, you can bet the focus of this E3 is 2015. And that's a big issue. "This is the one you’ve been waiting for." This is what Nintendo wrote on their twitter page when they announced their E3 plans last year. It was directed towards all those who complained about the lack of Wii U games and broken "no droughts" promises. What did we get? Mario Maker; Splatoon; Yoshi WW; Kirby RC; Project Guard; Project Robot; Zelda U; Devil's Third, Smash, Hyrule Warriors, etc. Of all that was revealed during E3, at least 8 games were coming out the coming year, with six being unannounced. Six. Not one or two. Six. So, when they say they are highlighting 2015 games, you should worry about what's coming in 2016 and with good reason. |
Basically, but people prefer to ignore all these details, just like they pretend Nintendo has not failed with the lack of games, constant droughts and unjustified delays.
Last E3 they announced a lot of 2015 games, most have not even a release date and people expect to have even more announcements.

I too wish that E3 would be like last year, unfortunately, all the signs point more to it being close to E3 2013 where you already knew what was coming and the only new game was Donkey Kong.
If this happens, then you can bet that it will be really, really hard, Wii U lasts until 2017.

I cant believe i read that.
Really OP? Really? That is some spinning right there.
Actually i would go so far as to say that Nintendo isnt annoucing any games for 2017 either. Focus on games at Nintendo ending? I mean cmon... i have no words.
Its amazing how much some people try to bash the Wii U. Why do you want Nintendo to drop the Wii U when they havent said anything of the sort? What exactly are you getting from this? Do you want them to drop the Wii U and go for another system without consumer confidance and 3rd party support? I really dont get you.

Yep. And what a funny coincidence, because I'm expecting a another DK and Animal Crossing being the new announcements this E3. Both coming 2016.

Another DK would just... i can't even begin to imagine how people would react if Nintendo announced that Retro's next title is another DK.
Animal Crossing is pretty much happening, without a doubt.

It's not like they decided to develop an expensive project at this point.

They did start a new one late 2013.
At that time it made sense to invest in something big. The machine hadn't even reached half it's lifetime and Wii U still had room to grow... at that time!
Assuming that it would really be expensive, of course.
