What really makes me livid is that Zelda U was announced right off the heels of this:

"Don't want to leave a long gap between announcement/release of new game types that would lessen the impact or allow competitors to copy." - Iwata

Fuck. Off.

They also said they wanted to cut developement time from 5 down to 3 years, guess what 2011 to 2016 is 5 years. Fuck you nintendo!

Assuming it's coming 2016.

With this kind of announcement and the fact that they don't even specify that they are aiming for next year I doubt it'll even come in 2016... 2015 will be another year where Nintendo becomes less and less relevant. Such a disappointment considering they could be so much more than they are today.

Consoles are really not worth my time anymore, at least at the moment.

So, how do i skip this year?

I don't think XCX is a poor man's anything. It won't push hardware nearly as much as Zelda, but it will be among the best quality games on the Wii U when everything is said and done. As for SMTxFE, they've consistently referenced it but nothing solid yet. That could easily change at E3. And I wasn't saying Metroid would come out this year, just that it could be the big E3 game in place of Zelda.

I don't think Yoshi is the big holiday title at all. In fact, I'd say Mario Maker or Animal Crossing has a bigger shot.

I agree about the Direct situation. That's some bullshit.

It won't push anything, dude. And I was being sarcastic about Yarn Yoshi. I'm not saying it won't be as good, I'm saying it won't be as important. That game is not a holiday title. It will be absolutely crushed if it comes out in November. I also don't care about E3 announcements. I was expecting a Metroid announcement, reguardless of this delay. That doesn't make up for it.

There's never been anything solid yet about SMT x FE. We know less than nothing about that game. The only reason we even know it's an RPG was because of some side comment. Again, I don't care what they talk about at E3 - There's no legitimate blockbuster this year. Not like Mario Kart or Smash. I want games to play, not announcements to watch.

FUCKEDYFUCKFUCKFUCKINGFUCK! NOOOOOOOOOOOO! ZELDAAAAAAAA! I know they're doing this for the right reason, but it still hurts :,( I know it'll be a better game for it, but damn!!!

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

Thank the mobile deal for this news, since there's no longer a sense of urgency for Ninty. Looks like they are spreading things out (lol) keeping Wii U alive until '17. IMO this solidifies NX portable releasing in the spring of '17, & home version that holiday. As far as making Zelda U a cross-gen release to NX, like TP was for GC-Wii, I think there's a good chance esp. if the NX is as powerful or close to U's spec level..

haha, actually read that in his voice :D

Haha, I'm watching the Always Sunny "Kitten Mittens" clip and randomly messaging people pictures of Sloth from Goonies.

This is what delayed, super jet lag does to a person, at least that's my excuse...

Chances are it shall be delayed to 2017.

It will be December 2018 at the earliest, but more likely Summer of 2020.
